Exciting News for Marlborough Families! 🎉🏫👶

At Marlborough St Mary’s Primary School, we are absolutely delighted to announce that we have successfully secured a £150,000 School-Based Nursery Capital Grant from the Department for Education (DfE). 🌟

This significant investment, alongside generous privately raised donations, will help us create an incredible new Family Centre and Marlborough Nursery Provision right here in Marlborough.

A State-of-the-Art Marlborough Nursery and Family Centre 🌿✨

Our vision is to develop one of the most innovative early years and family support facilities in the country. The new bespoke centre will include:

  • 👶 A modern, nurturing nursery environment

  • 🩺 Dedicated spaces for health and medical services

  • 🤝 Rooms for social care professionals and family support practitioners

  • 🏡 A welcoming hub designed to support children and families from the earliest stages of life

We believe this pioneering approach will become a leading example of how schools can work together with families and support services to give children the very best start in life.

New Early Years Classrooms Opening September 2026 📚🧸

From September 2026, children currently attending the Under 5s Pre-School will be taught in two specially designed classrooms inside the main school building.

The provision will be led by experienced teachers:

  • Mrs Palmer

  • Mrs Crossman

Mrs Palmer and Mrs Crossman are already enthusiastically exploring exciting new furniture, resources and learning spaces to create a beautiful environment fully aligned with our Hygge-inspired Early Years philosophy. 🌱✨

Our aim is to provide:

  • Warm, nurturing learning spaces

  • Inspiring indoor and outdoor environments

  • High-quality teacher-led early education

  • A strong focus on wellbeing, creativity and curiosity

Looking Ahead to September 2027 🚧🏗️

Over the coming months, you may begin to notice architects, designers, engineers and builders visiting the current Under 5s site as plans progress for the full transformation into our new nursery and family centre.

The completed facility is planned to open in September 2027 and will help establish the Marlborough Nursery as home to one of the very best nursery and family support provisions in the country.
